Carol Higson is the Basis Finance Director.
She's very creative when it comes to numbers
and can tell you everything from the cost of
an ink cartridge, to a full media campaign.
Carol has a wealth of experience in all
facets of accounting and IT systems,
having previously worked in a variety of
roles in Victoria and Queensland.
She has spent her career working as
a commercial accountant within many
industry sectors including manufacturing,
childcare and property development before
joining the Basis team.
Critical to the success of the agency
are team leaders, which keep their
prospective areas hopping.
Team leaders head up account service,
creative, digital, public relations and finance. Their aim is to
inspire and challenge team members through
a co-operative and supportive environment.
As one unit, they strive for continual
growth and improvement.
Murray uses his passion for advertising and initiative as the driving force and managing director behind Basis Agency. His hands on approach to business has been instrumental in growing and maintaining the Agency's eleven year success.
Murray cut his teeth working on some of Australia's most prominent icons such as Brisbane Marketing, Mitre 10 and Swagman Motorhomes.
His passion for growing brands continues as he builds new client relationships and advises a number of corporate clients on advertising strategy, creative and media.

David’s creative campaigns have been acknowledged in New York, London and Cannes. In Australia, he has won national awards at Australian Writers & Art Directors (AWARD) and Australian Direct Mail Awards (ADMA). Closer to home he has also collected gongs at the Brisbane Advertising and Design Awards (BAD). He has created campaigns for some of Brisbane’s largest advertising agencies and made his mark on many local, national and international brands such as Warner Brothers / Wet’n’Wild, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Mackay Tourism, RACQ (Membership and Insurance) and many more. David works closely with the account services team, clients and his hand-picked creative team to conceive and execute engaging ideas for consumer audiences, whilst maintaining the strategic focus behind every brief.
James uses his vast knowledge of the online industry and technology along with smart thinking to create digital solutions and programming that not only wows clients but excites the target audience as well.
Having been heavily involved in the online industry for over ten years, he has all the skills and talents in internet programming, and is able to communicate clearly in plain English.

Lawrie puts his persuasive copywriting skills to work for the Basis Agency. Lawrie has been writing results-focused, award-winning copy for more years than he cares to remember, yet he is as enthusiastic about his work as ever.
A former President of the Brisbane Advertising (BAD) Club and BAD Person of the Year (1994), he has plied his craft at a host of major ad agencies in Brisbane as well as in London (Dancer Fitzgerald Dorland, 1984 - 86). His clients have included Dreamworld, Queensland Newspapers, Brumbys, A2 Milk, Tyrepower, Metropolitan Funerals, and many more.
A true all-rounder with a proven flair for retail, corporate and direct response advertising, Lawrie specialises in "Sold Out" signs...all his clients have them.

Mel is extremely well-versed in the field of Public Relations. After attaining a Bachelor of Business (PR) from QUT, Mel set off on a ten year career path where she journeyed through East Africa, the Middle East, and London, before returning home to Australia.
