GFC Doesn't Hinder Basis ExpansionBrisbane-based communications agency Basis Advertising today expands to offer clients a more comprehensive range of communications services under the one umbrella - Basis Group.
Renowned for its cutting edge advertising campaigns for some of Australias most well known brands, Basis Group now comprises of dedicated business units including; Basis Agency (advertising), Basis Public Relations, Basis Corporate Relations and Basis Digital Communications, effective from today.
Basis Group Managing Director, Murray Sutherland, said the expansion would provide clients with a more holistic approach to their communication requirements while ensuring the company continued to be a leader in the industry.

Todays expansion is the result of over six months of planning and development, resulting in a business model that allows us to stay at the top of our game and ahead of our competitors.
We can now provide a broader, even more dynamic and holistic communications group to suit all communication needs.
Basis Group has taken on three specialist team directors to oversee and foster the development of the new business groups, which will be based at the agencys Teneriffe office.
Mel Deacon will take on the roll of team director of Basis Public Relations, Professor Stuart McAuliffe is set to step in as team director of Basis Corporate Relations and James Groth will oversee Basis Digital.
Mr Sutherland said the addition of the three experts as directors was a shot in the arm for the group, and their expertise and wealth of industry knowledge would provide clients with fresh, innovative and effective solutions to their communications needs.
Our three new directors are all highly regarded experts within their respective fields and will ultimately add further strategic, creative and business intelligence firepower to the group, he said.
As part of the growth strategy, Basis Group has also rolled out a comprehensive new brand strategy across the group including fresh new branding and specific websites for each business operation.
Basis Group started 12 years ago and focuses on providing clients with outstanding customer service and creative excellence. Based in Commercial Road, Teneriffe, the group now employs 18 staff and has worked with some of Australias best known brands including Audi, Fone Zone, PoolWerx and Waeco.

Award-winning Creative Director Joins Basis
The creative imagination behind some of Australias most memorable advertising campaigns joins the Brisbane-based agency Basis in a move set to shake up the industry.
In an advertising world always hungry for fresh ideas, award-winning Creative Director David Ryan promises to bring innovative directions to ad creation at Basis headquarters in the fashionable riverside district of Teneriffe.
Davids impressive professional reach has spread to an international world, where his work has been acknowledged in New York, London and Cannes. This includes recognition for his creative work at the Cannes Advertising Film Festival, the Mobius Advertising Awards, the London International Advertising Awards and the Advertising Festival of New York.
His outstanding creativity is also acknowledged at AdSchool, where he is running courses on the Creative Process and Art Direction principles. AdSchool is the only academically recognised training programme for people working in advertising and marketing. It is conducted by The Communications Council, a government accredited Institution of Higher Education.
Brisbane-born, David said hes looking forward to meeting some new & exciting challenges working for a dynamic, innovative agency like Basis.

In the past, David has created campaigns for some of Brisbanes leading advertising agencies and made his mark on many brands, most notably Warner Brothers, WetnWild, Marriott Hotels and Resorts, Mackay Tourism and RACQ.
Davids policy is to work closely with clients and the Basis creative team to conceive and deliver engaging ideas that speak to consumer audiences.
